Hello, Cozy Corner Folks,

If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with mushrooms and cactus, and lucky for me, I’m not alone! I’ve always specialized in crafting miniature versions of plants, mushrooms, and creatures using my felting techniques. But recently, I was inspired by another artist who creates miniatures, and it got me thinking about how to incorporate this into my own work that’s already so mini.

After finding the cutest (and smallest) glass display domes, I began prototyping, trying to find the proper technique and materials to ensure my little worlds would last and maintain the quality you expect in all my creations. I successfully created these micro-miniatures—tiny worlds forever frozen in time.

The Art of the Micro-Miniature

This new collection truly showcases my deep love for detail. In the world of fiber arts, the smaller the piece, the harder it is to create and capture a deep level of detail. To achieve the level of realism and charm in these tiny terrariums, each mushroom and cactus specimen is meticulously needle felted by me using natural wool. It takes incredible focus to craft these miniature worlds, and that intense level of detail is exactly why they are so special.

It’s a truly whimsical process to create something so small, knowing that I am building a perfect little scene. They’re just that—worlds locked in time.

I absolutely adore bringing tiny, whimsical worlds to life, and I’m so excited to share my delightful Mini Terrariums Collection! The intention behind these pieces is to bring a touch of forever plant nature into your life with these charming displays.

I offer two distinct styles: a classic Glass Globe and a sleek Glass Dome, both resting on beautiful wooden bases with varying wood stains. They are perfect for brightening up any desk, shelf, or window.

- Mushroom Wonders: Explore favorites like the textured Morel, the cozy Brown Top, and the classic spotted Toadstool.

- Desert Dreams: Showcasing my low-maintenance Cactus pieces, including the towering Saguaro and the adorable Flowering Cactus (with pink or yellow blooms!).

These pieces are crafted for anyone who appreciates the beauty of the miniature and the magic of a handmade object. I love that I can offer fellow plant-challenged folks a piece of forever plant nature that never needs watering!

Just a note about the materials: the wool mushrooms and cacti are individually needle felted by me, while the glass dome/globe and wooden base are commercial components used to house my handcrafted creation.
